Knitika left a comment to let me know that I'd won a Bobby award. I went to check it out, and yes, indeed I had!
(A quick explanation for those of you who are wondering what the hell a Bobby actually is...they are the annual Ravelry awards for excellence in a wide variety of fields, such as Best Obscure Pattern, Most Educational Raveler, Best Handspun, etc. There appears to be a huge and involved nomination and winnowing process, followed by a voting process - voting is open to all members of Ravelry - and then the winners are announced. I discovered a few months ago that I had been nominated in the category of I Wish My UGH Was Hot Like Yours for my Persian Tiles Afghan project.
I was really tickled to win, but what gobsmacked me once I went to check things out is that this victory actually came with a real, honest-to-goodness PRIZE. Seriously!
And what a prize. I tell you, when I saw "2 patterns in PDF format of the winners choice to be selected from Ysoldas Ravelry store", I just about flipped. I like Ysolda's stuff, and to be able to get two of her patterns free just made my day. I chose Snapdragon Tam and Snow White, and couldn't be happier.
So happy, in fact, that I couldn't help casting on for the Snapdragon Tam. I used the Fiddlesticks Knitting Country Silk I had leftover from my Lotus Shawl project, and there was more than enough. (Way more than enough. Like, I-might-be-able-to-do-a-matching-scarflet more than enough.) I started last Thursday and it was blocking by Sunday afternoon. Here it is stretched to circular shape on a dinner plate:
It's going to be a Mother's Day gift for my mom. Just have to sew in a few ends and I'm done. Hooray! And thank you so much to everyone who participated in the Bobby Awards process and of course thank you to everyone who voted for me. I'm very happy and grateful!

Congrats! While I missed the whole Bobby thing, I agree that your Persian Tiles is a gorgeous "UGH" :P. What a prize! I love her stuff too - in fact the yarn my FIL sent for Christmas is earmarked for Snow White. As soon as I get my sister's sweater done (which may be forever, I've ripped it out twice now!)...
