Skills required
- Working with yarns held doubled
- Knitting, purling
- Decreasing, increasing
- Slipping stitches
- Working small circumferences in the round
- Three-needle bind-off
Materials needed
- Yarn: 40 yards of worsted weight (it will be held doubled; if you are using a thicker yarn held singly to get gauge, you will need only 20 yards)
- Needles: Set of 6mm DPNs
- Stitch marker
- 3" long barrette blank
- Tapestry needle for sewing and weaving in ends
Gauge
- 14 stitches/20 rows = 4"/10cm in stocking stitch with yarn doubled
