Pattern: Child Legs




Too simple to be called a pattern, really. Excruciatingly simple. Any sock yarn will do.

Which needle size you use depends on how wide you want the leggings to be. You could also, of course, make the leggings bigger by increasing the number of stitches in the initial cast-on. Your call. After all, it’s just a tube.

Sizing


  • 18" long

Materials needed


  • Yarn: 1 ball of Trekking XXL, 75% superwash wool/25% nylon, 459yds/100g, colour 132 - model used just over 75g)
  • Needles: 
    • 2.5mm double-pointed needles OR two 2.5mm 16” circular needles (if using the two circular technique) OR one 80cm 2.5mm circular needle (if using the Magic Loop technique)
    • 4mm needle (for cast-on)
  • (optional but recommended) Elastic

Gauge


  • 28 stitches to 4 inches/10 centimetres on 2.75mm needles in stocking stitch (i.e. standard sock yarn gauge)
